About Me

CURRENT MISSION

understand myself, be able to see others and their needs

ABOUT ME

I am 26 years old, married to my wife, Talia. We live in Jerusalem, in a cute and small apartment which we enjoy very much. we are both students in the Hebrew University- i'm studying Psychology and Islam & Middle Eastern Studies (it's 2 seperate subjects, there is no connection between them..) and Talia is studying Occupational Therapy.
we are both vegeterians, though every once in a while i cheat and eat some fish..
We are friendly and interested, love to laugh and hang out, and are happy to meet new people. all in all, i would say we have a pretty slow pace to life, we like to take things easy, one thing at a time :)

PHILOSOPHY

"In the pursuit of knowledge, everyday something is gained.
In the pursuit of The Way, everyday something is lost.

Those who know do not talk.
Those who talk do not know.
Close your mouth.
Gaurd your senses.
Temper your sharpness.
Simplify your problems

We are born gentle and weak, but at death are stiff and hard. Green plants are tender and full of sap. At their death they are withered and dry.
Therefore the stiff and unbending is the disciple of death. The gentle and yielding is the disciple of life." (excerpts from the Tao Te Ching)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

in my travels in Papua New Guinea i stayed for a few days with a tribe that lives on the Sepik river bank. during those days my friends and i (2 other friends were with me) learned a lot about the way the tribe live their daily lives. one evening, we joined the tribe hunters (led by the eldest hunter who looked like he could be my grandfather..) and actually saw them hunt a crocodile! no worries, the croc wasn't killed, just captured- though, i don't know what they were going to do with it :) later on, at a different tribe in the jungles, a sheep was killed in our honor -we didn't ask for it.. after seeing that, i stopped eating meat..

Teach, Learn, Share

I can have a good talk about religions (obviously, the religion i am most familiar with is Judaism) and history, show some breathing\meditating exercises. I could listen..

i would love to learn anything new and interesting. especially about other religions, how to cook different and special foods, etc.
