Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To provide hospitality to the world -- in small, limited doses.
ABOUT ME
I am an odd mix of contradictions. I like staying home and the quiet life, but I also passionately love travel and experiencing opportunities.
Given any either/or choice, I am most likely to pick both/and, instead.
PHILOSOPHY
I thrive with low standards and an easy pace. I am a scheduler, and my calendar fills up, but almost everything is optional.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Mostly I host.
But once again I am asking you to not travel to the United States while our government is making it actively dangerous for people to travel here - if not for your own safety, then as a protest to support the safety of people at risk.
Interests
I cook, garden, craft, socialize, and pine after traveling more. Mellow conversations over tea.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy movies where things blow up (but few people actually die/suffer) AND people are smart. But for music, sadly, while my tastes are broad, my palate is not well educated.
Since 2019, I've been watching mostly Chinese television shows, and that has been fun.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing the Great Orme in Llandudno, Wales - met some goats, watched the sun rise over the Irish Sea.
Going to the 3rd international premiere of Return of the King (Surprisingly in Minneapolis) with a long time internet friend I met for the first time that weekend.
I was briefly interviewed on MTV in the 90s because of my environmental activism.
