¡Hola, hi, moin, oi!

A little about me: I‘m Puerto Rican, I’ve lived on this little island about my whole life (except for two exchanges in Germany), and I love seeing the world through other people’s eyes.

I’m an urbanist at heart and a Regional Planning student in formation: Exploring other countries, towns, cities, islands excites me and inspires me to think about different ways to design and organize spaces, systems, and people. Connecting with other people and places through travel is how I’ve broken out of a closed view of life and society; and I’ve also gotten to have many great adventures in the process.

I love cycling, hiking, visiting national parks, beaches, forests, exploring cities, partying or just going out for coffee or drinks. I’m down to do just about anything as long as there’s good company. Feel free to hit me up if I’m heading your way and you want to host me, show me your favorite places or want company to go explore somewhere new! I’ll be happy to make your acquaintance along the way :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My music tastes are all over the place and I’m always happy to receive recommendations on what to hear! Right now I’m listening to Kah-Lo, Nathy Peluso, Sofi Tukker, Rusowsky, and Rainao.

I have a lengthy backlog of books to read, but mostly historical fiction and non fiction (history, urbanism, politics).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First, hiking in the middle of winter with a fellow couchsurfer through the snowy, icy forest outside Stockholm to see one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve seen in my life.
Second, pulling off a crossborder weekend bike trip from Kiel, Germany to Sønderborg, Denmark, just a month after having learned how to ride a bike.

I can help you with your Spanish/English, and, if you know German or Portuguese, I would greatly appreciate your help learning slang and more common words and phrases to fit in better in German and Portuguese speaking countries.
