We are Noelia and Álvaro, a 35 year old couple from Barcelona currently travelling around the world for one year (started in January 2016). We plan to visit Asia and America mostly. We are both college graduates with masters degrees and Alvaro works in tourism. Noelia is a life coach and works in human resources. We both love animals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We want to try meeting local people on our travelling and get this way a better understanding of local culture. It has been highly recommended by other travellers and we want to experience it ourselves.

Interests

Football (FC Barcelona supporters), we love motorbikes, we really enjoy music and music festivals, we go to the cinema as much as we can and love watching movies at home. We also love travelling obviously! And meeting new people along the way :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Alvaro is a Blur fan and We both really like international rock music and also electronic music.
Movies: we like Cinema a lot particularly Wes Anderson movies (director of Moonrise Kingdom and Life Aquatic) and Noelia is a huge fan of Bill Murray.
Books: Alvaro spends time daily checking the world news and Noelia's favourite writter is Mario Benedetti

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Break with everything and started this adventure @ 35!!! We left our jobs, home, friends, family and beloved posessions (including our motorbikes) behind to travel for over a year and we feel good about it so far!!!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

We can share our experiences from our country, culture and travels and we are open to learn about any others. We can teach you to cook our famous spanish omelette!!! Or give you some tips to travel to Spain and Alvaro is an excellent football player.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are very easygoing and chilled people. We speak spanish, catalan, english and Alvaro also speaks some french. We are very clean and respectful of local traditions and manners. We are also curious and open to learn from others. Noelia is a vegetarian.
