i'm a filmmaker and a teacher at the University of Washington in Seattle. i'm married but don't have children. i'm almost done with my PhD. i'm looking forward to having more time to travel again now that school is almost finished.

there are too many.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

a soldier ordered me to sing a song on guitar at a border crossing. i played 'let it be' while a cage full of albanian refuges and guards with ak-47s looked on. the soldier smiled and told me he had a son about my age who loved the beatles too.

Teach, Learn, Share

i have taught all kids of video/film/art-related classes, most recently a study abroad art class in sicily and tunisia. i also know a lot of media-related software, how to sail, how to play guitar, and how to make really good crepes. Happy to share.
