CURRENT MISSION

Partner Will, Daughter Raven, and myself will be bouncing between the States and Ireland this summer.
We just moved to a different house in Portland so our couch surfing situation has changed. Less room, and no guest room.

ABOUT ME

I live part time in Portland, Oregon USA with my daughter. We adore Portland because it is funky, cool, and you can bike everywhere. We keep a fish and a snake. I am a businessperson but also an activist. Though we adore our city, we always have a great time when we travel.

We are flexible but one important thing. I am very allergic to cats so I can not stay in a place that has them.

PHILOSOPHY

What is truly important? This is a question that I ask myself regularly. It usually comes back as people, planet, value, and values.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to expand my horizons both traveling and hosting. I like to support share economy but gift economy is nice as well. There are possibilities of staying with us in Portland, OR, and the Northwest of Ireland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosting and couch surfing for years. Pre-internet even! ....In my 20's I would host for bands a bunch and I came up with a theory. Usually, the crazier looking the band members- the better guests they were. Quite the opposite that you would expect. There was a punk band that stayed and they were all pierced with big multicolored mohawks. When I woke up the next day, all my dishes were washed, they had cleaned the apartment and made me breakfast! And they kept thanking me!

Now I have a mortgage and I am a Mom. However I never want to get rigid and fearful, so I like to meet new people and do good deeds.
