I live in Utah, I'm 45 years old. I enjoy the mountains and the outdoor activities that mountains offer. I like high adrenaline activities, but also keep bees. I am so glad to be out of university, but love learning. I am an open minded person and enjoy being exposed to new ideas, cultures and ways of doing things. Being from Utah, I don't drink, but most of my best friend's do, I have always loved flying and this led me to become an officer in the Air Force. I was struck by lightning while windsurfing, (another form of flying) Which ended my Air Force career. I was medically retired from the military at age 27. Life has been a series of adventures ever since. I've traveled alone, but I'm too much of a people person to enjoy it. Looking forward to using this and hopefully meeting some of you.

I don't know if I'll ever use Couch Surfing, but I do like the idea of it. I enjoy meeting new people with different personalities and life experiences. Maybe it's just me, but I find myself losing opportunities to meet new people. Supporting couch surfing and projects like it, is my way of countering this. We all have the potential to enrich each other's lives. I think couch surfing is a step in that direction.

I used to fly in the Air Force, but a lightning strike ended my flying career. I still fly ultralight aircraft and would spend all my time in the air if I could.

Any of my hobbies, I'm happy to share. I could talk about bees until you tell me to shut up or the best canyons to do in Zion National Park and the permit system. That's the beauty of conversation, you never know.

I enjoy meeting others. I've got a pretty cool story. Struck by lightning on the ocean, pulled out by Blue angel flight team members, and the recovery from it. Surprisingly, I usually end up hearing about their lives as well and realizing we all have amazing stories. Most just don't realize it.
