Traveling around spreading art and magic. Currently settled down in New Orleans for the winter.

ABOUT ME

We've been street performing in New Orleans, LA for the last year and now the weather is heating up and we've set out to travel the United States, busking our way from place to place. Rod is a sidewalk performer whom does magic. Sibyl is an artist and sometimes performer. We are currently settling down in New Orleans.

PHILOSOPHY

We just feel that we want to experience the world, and not be tied down to a nine to five job. We want to embrace the world and experience life while we are here by traveling and meeting new people. Street performing provides the vessel for us to do so.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've hosted other street performers while in New Orleans and are more then willing to host once we get back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sibyl has couch surfed in Savannah with other performers and in new orleans a few times with musicians and other magicians.

Intereses

Sibyl photographs street performers and the like and is also the photographer for Black Rose Weddings in New Orleans
Rod being the working magician we obviously have an interest in magic, and other circus arts.

Rod has interests in sail boats in kayaking, he has been building them for the past few years.

We are both fans of Anne Rice, Hunter S. Thompson.

Sibyl reads alot of Hunter S. Thompson, Bukowski, Ginsberg, Tom Wolf, Anne Rice, Poppy Z. Bright, Chuck Klosterman, etc etc.

We both like a wide range of music, from classic rock, indie, grunge, punk(multiple varieties), some hip hop. We are pretty open about music.

Sibyl- One of the most amazing moment's I think I've had is coming to New Orleans for the first time, it was such a different world then what I was used to. Junk bands everwhere, music no matter where you were in the city. It was the first time I was really exposed to street performing. I mean I had seen it before in California a little, but had never paid too much attention. And then meeting and spending time with them in New Orleans exposed me to a whole new concept of making a living.

I think we both particularly enjoy spiritual people, not necessarily religious people, but people who meditatate and who can discuss easter spiritual philosophy, or the occult. People who arent afraid to question the universe and its surroundings, as of late we have had many conversations about quantum mechanics. We enjoy learning about how others percieve the world, and its an opprotunity to show both sides of the spectrum and how we really are the same no matter what our occupation. We live outside the norm by traveling with the seasons and making a living performing in the streets.
