About Me
Hi,
For the last 18 years I have been living and working in the Findhorn Foundation Community and Charity in Northern Scotland - most recently as Transport Manager but previously in Education. Before this I lived and worked in Germany and Sweden teaching and also spent 15 years as a Primary Teacher outside London.
I have taken a 19 month break a break and cycled towards New Zealand ending up in Turkey beginning mid-March 2017. I have been quite active - running marathons and walking in Spain. Since writing this I have travelled to 25 countries not all of them by bike as it was stolen in Turkey. My last 2 months have been spent walking the camino franćes in Spain and going on a pilgrimage to Machu Picchu in Peru with an unexpected side trip to Rio in Brazil. I came back in October 2018 and am rejoining the Findhorn Foundation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling and I think you can learn much more about a country or place by connecting with local people and having experiences that you would never otherwise have.
