ABOUT ME

Hi there. My name is Patrick. I'll be traveling with my cousin, Jeffrey. We're both twenty years old and live in Kalamazoo Michigan. We grew up together, and have been best friends since childhood. We've had a taste of contemporary life, and don't like it much. Things are more complicated than they need to be. We want to trade our services for the things we need, and live for ourselves. We don't believe people need as much as they have. We have both been surfers for a while now, but only in our area. We want to move around, make new friends and possibly help others get started on living the way they want to, not the way they're forced to.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to be happy. I tried to live a contemporary life, but it didn't work for me. Got married, had a home of my own, etc etc. Time to forget about that. I wanted life to be an adventure. I don't want to live just to live. I don't want to be stuck at a 9-5 job everyday, saving up my money for my pointless things. I want to go see the world, and meet new people. I want to LIVE, and that's it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My cousin have a variety of skills we would be willing to trade for beds and meals across the country. We both have experience in landscaping and property cleanups, and can do all sorts of manual labor such as farm hands and whatnot. I'm decent with plumbing and construction. And can teach self defense and some survival skills. I'll even cook meals for you. And many other things, you only need ask. And we usually have something with us to trade. I'm fond of crafting things such as leather satchels, walking sticks, and other trinkets.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had quite a bit of couch surfing experience, but most of it was just at my friend's houses and whatnot. The few times I have stayed with strangers I've found enlightening. I love meeting new people, and I believe everyone has something to share.

I've never done anything amazing. That's what I'm trying to do now.

教，学，和分享

I can teach some self defense and survival skills. I can share some of my own "scrapworks" designs. Like making a waterskin out of a ruined leather jacket. We can teach people how to get free food and how to find shelter in an emergency situation, urban survival, and Jeffrey can teach a little on the guitar. Among other things. We'd like to learn about other peoples urban and rural survival skills and hear their stories. We would also be willing to share any of our supplies with a traveler in need.
