关于我
CURRENT MISSION
To engage in opportunities for life-promoting connection
ABOUT ME
I am not a philosopher, but I love the search for truth and creativity. I am not a psychologist, but I am fascinated by the mind, it's intersubjective connections and how it functions in our various life experiences. I am not a scientist, but I am enthralled with the complexities inscribed by evolution and processes of becoming. I am not a book worm, but I easily get swept up by good literature and resources for learning. I am not religious, but I am often inspired by the words of the Buddha, Christ and Lao-tse, and encourage immersion into a passionate fervor of the best of whatever you believe in. I am not a tourist, but I am thrilled by the adventure of going somewhere new and unknown. I am not yet a world traveler, but I have lived deeply embedded in the cultural and social frameworks of many of the places I have been to. I am not a teacher per se, but an eternal student, indebted to those who interact with me. I hope to meet you too someday soon.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As a guest -- for the time being anyway. It'll be a while before I get to participate as a host again. However, I've hosted my fair share of travelers in the past myself.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Every stay has been unique and wonderfully memorable in its own way. It's been a while since I've been settled enough long enough to have the opportunity to host anyone, but the several people I did host back in Kagawa, Japan, were all so wonderful; I very much miss that experience. My time as a guest in Taiwan and the U.S. has also been very special (I've made some dear friends this way!), and I hope to utilize CS more and more as time and opportunities allow.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情
Almost all the most awestriking places I've been to have been in the mountains: Iyadani, Kanonji, the Front Range of the Rockies; or a body of water: the Seto Inland Sea, Lake Superior; or the woods anywhere -- too many to list.
教,学,和分享
I am more or less fluent in Japanese (depending on who you ask and how long it's been since I last used it). I have acquired new skills through these studies and while teaching English, and am trying to apply what I've learned from both toward studying Chinese. I also enjoy philosophy, and couldn't be happier than to have the opportunity to exchange perspectives with other deep thinkers. A lot of my thoughts have become all the more diversified by my attempts to become intimately immersed with the culture and mindsets around me, wherever that is.
Otherwise, I'm typically intrigued by whatever subject or body of knowledge people have to offer. (It's all connected anyway ^-^)
我可以与沙发主分享些什么
Great stories. Methods and tools for accelerated learning (of anything). How to make buttered coffee (which I may ask to try and make if it's appropriate). Japanese conversation practice too, if you're interested.
