One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I taught refugees on the Thai-Burmese border. Despite all the hardships, the students were so friendly and hopeful for their future! Makes you think about what really counts in life.
- I saw a bright night sky on Rinjani volcano in Indonesia. At 3000meters, and with a lof of water around you, light pollution is minimal. Never knew there were so many stars.
- Spend an hour or so on a clear blue day on the top of a mountain close to Mt. Everest. Everything seemed so peaceful and harmless, for once it was hard to imagine that Everest can be so hostile. Also forgot about the effects of high altitude and of the snow storm the night before.

I like to share a story or two about travelling, or discuss with you the way the world turns (culture, society, politics). We can practice our language skills or teach each other new cooking recipes.
