About Me

A 20 year-old boy who Left his Study and School to Discover the world and Have seen the world beyond Media and what we hear from Our parents.
It has been 4 years of traveling, very Fast.

Hey, This is Shubham from Northern India. I am a full time traveller, I like to go in the crazy places and countries! Currently in Jordan, Just returned from Afghanistan!

I am always looking to meet new people from all over the world, enjoy learning a different language and culture.

Being a curious boy I talk a lot.
I am super social when I travel. I talk with whomever I'm sitting next to on the bus. I chat with vendors. I banter with people while waiting for a train. I ask for directions even when I'm pretty sure I know where I'm going. The more people you talk to, the more people learn about your journey.

Everyone who meets me tells me that you are very brave but the fact is that I am not brave, I trust people and just use a little bit of courage to start with.

Well, I also Started making videos from September 2019, I am showing the world something different from media, Nomad Shubham is my YouTube Channel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

✡️ If I hangout with the same friends, how can I get the new idea and inspiration.

✡️ I will experience a new culture from inside and see the things which is not even in Wikipedia or travel books.

✡️ Couchsurfing liberated me from my fears of travelling alone and getting lonely, because I knew that I went, I would be guaranteed to meet new people.

✡️ I will break out my comfort zone, do and try new things that I never thought I would.

✡️ Making new friends and sometime make a new animal friend.

✡️ Couchsurfing is incredibly safe, with Couchsurfing, you do know who you are staying with. You talk to them beforehand, and read all about them from their former surfers.

✡️ Have a high-stress personality and don’t like improvising.

✡️ Have difficulty with social situations and meeting new people.

✡️ Need a lot of privacy.

✡️ Aren’t easily accepting of different lifestyles or belief systems.

Be a generous guest.
Be a compassionate host:)

Hitchhiking: It is not only cheap but you can get a lot of cultural exchange from this.It is best way to travel, My adventure didn't start when I reach any particular city, My adventure start between two city.

As my personal experience I have found that " The less I spend money, the more I gain experience"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 8 years old, I had climbed the Borassus flabellifer tree whose height is approx 50 ft, when I climbed on the top I saw a snake, I became out of sense and jumped from there without any thought. The mark of that injury is also on my body till now.

When I was in Patna, I had attended more than 150 marriage ceremony without invitation😜 and And did eat delicious food and ran away. One time I had also caught.

I slept on the road between the forest in Russia.

I camped in North pole

I hitchhiked in Russia for more than 12000 km, travelled Siberian and west Russia.

I stayed with the military near the Vietnam border

Crossed gobi desert by walking in 2 days and almost died in search of water.

Hitchhiked in Mongolia and waiting for lift while watching Netflix 😅

And camped in the extreme cold of Pamir Highway, the minimum was -43c.

Going to Magadan & Oymyakon in coldest time, Russian told me i will die and i said I will not and then i reached the coldest
Place on planet,It was around -60 celcius

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you about the amazing Indian culture, the culture of India is one of the oldest and unique. In India, there is amazing cultural diversity throughout the country. The South, North, and Northeast have their own distinct cultures and almost every state has carved out its own cultural niche. There is hardly any culture in the world that is as varied and unique as India.

I can tell you about some hitchhiking tips and some unwritten rule of hitchhiking.

I can teach you about "juggad" system in India and other random things what I know.

I can also teach you Hindi, Bhojpuri, Rajasthani and some other regional language what I know if you are interested in it but it is one of the weirdest languages.

I am always curious to know the other culture.
I also like to speak another language, so if it is possible I want to learn basic words of your Native language.
If you want to teach me something then I will always be eager to learn.

I can share some interesting story about my travelling and also want to hear some stories from you.
