I'm a 28 year old with a passion for exploring new places, immersing myself in new cultures and trying new things. Working in digital product development, I am always interested in learning about how new technologies are impacting people around the world. Last October (2015) I quit my job and left New York City with my boyfriend Tiago to travel for a year. We spent our first 4 months in Japan & Southeast Asia, then spent a few months in Europe with a side-trip to Morocco, hopped over to India and we are now continuing our travels in Israel. This year of adventure has been made even more special by all of the great people we meet along the way - I would look forward to meeting you to learn more about your city from a local perspective!

Cooking. I love the creativity and relaxation of making something new in the kitchen. On my travels, I want to learn how to cook local specialties in each of the countries/regions I visit. Hoping you can share one of your favorite recipes and teach me a new tip or two in the kitchen.

Language. Becoming completely fluent in another language is quite a challenge and accomplishment. I'm hoping to soak up some basic phrases in each of the countries I visit so I can at least communicate thanks/gratitude to my hosts in their own language!

Local neighborhoods & places to go. I think the best recommendations are those that all the locals enjoy - visiting these places to drink, eat or just walk around would be an excellent way to get a feel for the culture, so hoping you can recommend a few of your favorite places while I'm visiting.

Did I mention I love to cook? I would be happy to host a homemade dinner for my host(s) while I'm visiting. For those interested in traveling in the US someday, I lived in Washington, DC during college and in New York City for several years (growing up in the NYC area), so have lots of tips for things to do, see and eat which I would love to share with anyone interested!
