About Me
Hey there! My names Naomi but I go by nomi.. I’m brand new to couch surfers and look forward to meeting some of you :) I would love to travel more and think it’s really cool that there’s a platform such as this for meeting new people and having a larger connection to each other! I think it’s so important to help each other when we have the means and as a result feel more connected to the greater whole. I’m 35 years old and currently living in Chico, CA in my travel trailer with my lil fur baby mochi <3 I’m currently self employed but works been slow so I’m looking into a regular j o b to save up some money and get the heck out of here for a while! I love cooking Thai food.. playing guitar.. techno.. being in nature and meeting new people :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
So.. I’ve heard about Couchsurfing for years.. but besides a couple trips overseas to Thailand it never really crossed my mind until recently! I was looking into getting out of town for potentially several months and starting thinking about the cost :/ and I was like “ahh that’s right!”. I’m a total trader.. and carry treasures with me to sell and make money here and there.. so trading for a warm bed is totally up my alley haha also being outgoing and craving new experiences and interactions.. I thought this would be a really great way to meet new people and see what’s out there!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music except country and some styles of jazz.. I love “artsy” movies.. foreign movies.. documentary.. movies typically surrounding one character.. not so much into horror or westerns or fantasy/marvel haha
And I enjoy books on personal growth.. things which I can apply and are relevant to day to day.. and I also have been getting back into poetry :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went on a super exhilarating trip to Thailand to get my wisdom teeth pulled! I have never experienced flight of fight so bad… I ended getting dry socket in the extraction point where you could see bone and nerve.. one of the truly most intense experiences of my life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can talk about asain cuisine for quite some time :) so if you like that kind of thing I could totally teach you! I’ve been a cook off and on in restaurants for 7+ years.. and in general just LOVE cooking in a wok.. I also have a degree in photography and take portraits for people so I could teach you some things about composition.. film.. digital.. exposure etc
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have been called a warm and enthusiastic person with a “way with words”.. so I love conversing and getting to know you :) I can share my experiences.. thoughts.. insight and general friendliness! I love helping and organizing and running errands so lemme know what you need!
