About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Graduate soon, meet great people and travel as much as I can before settling down somewhere in this world...

ABOUT ME

Female, 23, student.
Born in France with congolese origins.
Hummm...Introducing myself is harder than I thought. My friends would say that I'm a nice person, open-minded and hard-working, who likes to spend great moments with her family and her friends (inviting them for a dinner, going to the cinema or having a drink in Paris or Nancy)
Reliable, generous, funny and sometimes a bit too talkative especially when I'm at my ease with people or I haven't seen them for months. I can do anything for people I love.
Trying to appreciate everyday on this Earth and avoid boredom...it could definitely kill me! ;-)

PHILOSOPHY

“Impossible is nothing!”

"Yes, we can!"

"Try to accept the things I cannot change and find the strength to change things I can"

“Crazy things are the things in life that you never regret...”

"Don't know where it will lead me, but I'm just enjoying the ride."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to travel and surf thanks to CS first, see how it goes, if it could change my life as Globe&Co did, I will keep on travelling and hosting with CS!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in London 5 days and met many CSurfers there. Great time!

Interests

I like so many different things. Studying marketing and business. I used to play the viola during 7 years and I belonged to an orchestra. Walking, horse-riding, climbing and archery. I like to do sport outside when the weather is good! Meet new great people (when and where you least expect it), who can become close friends. Spending time with my family especially my 2 sisters, discovering nice places (clubs, restaurants, bars, museums, parks…) and hanging out with my friends.
Well, in general I like being surprised by life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

=>summer 2004 (Very Long story.) The point is that I got stuck in Liège in Belgium, alone, with no ID, no papers, no cellphone and no money. I did not know the cellphone numbers of my relatives by heart, so no way to find help.
I had 2 possibilities:
-take the train back to my Grandmother's place without ticket (but I was taking the risk to be arrested by controllers and to be treated like an illegal immigrant)
-or ask somebody for money so I could buy a ticket.
Well, at last, a woman came to me, ask me questions about the next trains and saw me in despair. She gave me 20 euros (even too much for a single train ticket), came to buy it with me and I managed to come back home safe&sound. Lesson: there are still great people (angels) in this world. I wonder sometimes, what could have happened to me without that woman...

=>Niagara Falls in Canada in summer 2006

=>2 years ago I was president of the club named "Globe&Co" (the international club in my Business School).
My team of "Globbers" and I welcomed more than 300 international students from all around the world during a year, we accomodated them in our own appartment, hanged out with them and helped them to integrate (to find appartments, to meet other French students...)in Nancy during our term.
So many great people met, funny experiences while picking up some international students at the station under 30 cm of snow at 6 a.m and organizing unforgettable parties/trips in Europe.

Globe&Co= Being involved in something I was doing with passion 24/7 for free and for so many people whose gratitude and smiles were the best gifts I could get.

=>Flash mob Place Stanislas in Nancy in 2010

=>Köln Karnival in Germany in 2011
It was really cold and windy that weekend but the atmosphere was crazy!!! I was with friends who were dressed up like giant condoms! (cf.picture) So funny!!! German really know how to party! Great memory!

=>July 14, 2011 in Paris. Bastille Day.
I took a cruise on the Seine with my mother and my little sister who is 8 years old, we had a guided city tour of Paris and its bridges in the boat, a dinner and we were ringside seat to the fireworks at midnight. A bit too short, but really beautiful!!!

=>New year eve in December 2011 in Paris, Champs Elysées and just next to the Eiffel Tower. It may sound cliche, but even if I'm French and I saw these places million times, I'm not tired of going there, watching them and appreciate their beauty each time.

=> Olympics games in London in August 2012. What an atmosphere!

=> Charles Bridge by night in Prague in October 2012
