ABOUT ME

Update: It's been a hell of a time since I logged into this website. The last active hosting that I did was when I was doing my PhD in Cambridge. A lot has happened since then..i.e post doc in Bristol ...coming back to India and getting married...:) Right now am residing in a small town called Kharagpur close to Kolkata...if anyone is visiting or needs a couch in this part of the country do drop me a line.

Update: Well...now that I have visited quite a few places on this globe...well mostly on conferences and doing experiments. So often everything is taken care of ...from accommodation to food...and hence didn't get much of an opportunity to be the guest of a couch surfer other than my excellent host in Zurich...I have hosted quite a few excellent people in my room in Cambridge and it has been an excellent experience, knowing sharing and exchanging cultural values and traditions.

Update: Starting my third year of Phd..dont know whats happening..

UK was the first country that I came over to after completing my masters course in India. After that I only traveled to Germany once on a conference...now that I have got a schengen visa for quite some time I really think I should explore a bit about Europe in the second year of my phd. If I dont do these backpacking trips now I dont know if I will ever get a chance to do them later ...!!

Time to update!! Things have changed quite a bit since I joined CS [Post1]. I found a great host at Zurich, and have hosted quite a few couch surfers till date and the experience has been fantastic.

[Post1]I just came to know about CS a few days back when I was asking my friends in college about options in staying in Europe for a few days in each city..

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Well one of the crazy things that I did was to go from my college to Sainsbury for shopping bare foot when Julia and Eva came from Germany to surf at my place. Eva was bare footed and so we all decided to try it out...was fun..
Taking a bus in Geneva and falling asleep ..only to realize that I was out of Geneva and the bus was speeding on a highway probably towards France...it was 11:30 at night and I had to be in lab at 8:00 next morning....
