About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To bring more smiles to this world

ABOUT ME

Basically, I'm a very upbeat person. I love people and human interaction so I spend most of my time around friends and loved ones. I'm super extroverted and love to meet new people and hear their stories. Don't get me wrong, I like to talk but I am a good listener. I'd like to think I'm kinda funny, I probably laugh at more of my jokes than other do, but I'm okay with that.

PHILOSOPHY

We are all crazy, and that is okay, in fact it is wonderful!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only recently become an active couch surfer and am looking forward to becoming a part of the CS community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed and hosted with a former boyfriend of mine, but have not done this on my own. All my experiences with hosting/surfing were amazing. I hope to have many many more of them!

Interests

I love to dance to dubstep, swing, hip-hop, trance, or whatever happens to be blasting. I love to read, for fun and for educational purposes. I've recently gotten into making wire jewelry, which is fantastic and satisfies my creative urges. But most of all I love to interact with new interesting people, which is why I adore traveling. I love to learn and my favorite way is through people :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first time really traveling was when I went to India at age 19. I didn't do much research and really didn't know a thing about India. So, when I got into my first rickshaw, honking and screeching through traffic, I was in utter shock. Later, the roads in India became one of the things I loved most about being there, but at first it was wide eyes and open mouth :)

Another time I was awestruck was when I went with a group to pick up trash in villages that surrounded Auroville, an intentional community in India. The idea was to help clean up these areas to make life better for its residents. When we got there and began, we were greeted with hilarious laughter and confused faces. The kids must have thought it was a game, and would pick up some trash and bring it to us with a humungous grins. I was amazed at our arrogance. Why was our way better? Is it really better to put our trash under ground, especially since this puts it closer to the water table? This was an experience I will never forget, because it helped me see a different perspective.
