ABOUT ME

I love to wander, drink coffee and wine (sometimes simultaneously), write bad poetry on serviettes in atmospheric cafes, dance to my iPod in foreign hotel rooms, stare out of train windows, frolic in parks and meet the locals wherever I go. That's where couchsurfing has helped. I think the most authentic travel experiences are those far from generic. I hope to meet some of you soon!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a few times now and I really enjoy it. I have met and stayed with some lovely surfers in my own travels. I am an avid devourer of profiles- I love reading about people, especially those who are slightly outside the square...like me!

MUSIC! Chopin, Earth Wind and Fire, Led Zep, the Cure, Mozart, Buddha Bar stuff, starting to surprise myself by how much I like hip-hop, Vivaldi, Bach... BOOKS! P G Wodehouse, Harry Potter, Graham Greene, Anne Tyler, Ian McEwan, Joyce Carol Oates, Colette...MOVIES! anything that's not too scary and not too boring. I am unashamedly a lover of romcoms... but also like arthouse, sci fi and a good action flick occasionally.

I am amazed by a lot of things. I strive to become amazing myself.

I play a few instruments, some better than others. I write a little piano music. I speak bad French.
