I've lived in 5 countries in 4 continents (a few briefly but still!), lived in 5 US States, and visited 23 of the US States along with at least 11 countries internationally. I consider myself open, adaptable, considerate, sensitive, respectful, welcoming, wise, fun, thoughtful, creative, and silly.

I don’t consider myself the conventional or traditional tourist; instead, I tend to enjoy a more personal and intimate glimpse into a new area in the presence of good company. I want to see places through the eyes of residents and natives.

I am a member of both airbnb and now Couchsurfing and am a respectful and considerate guest with clear communication.

When I’m in the position to host, I will in order to give back to the community and meet some cool people from around the world.

I have an eclectic taste for music: I like dance pop, soul, new age instrumental, classical, and international tunes from around the world. I'm also a HUGE Lady Gaga enthusiast.

As for movies, I particularly enjoy documentaries I can learn from, movies that are fun and light (i.e. animated or pixar), & movies that are poignant, moving, and thought-provoking.

Book-wise, I enjoy reading mostly a combination of non-fiction and self-help books.

Food-wise, I eat gluten-and-wheat free and healthy!! While I am not a vegetarian or vegan, I enjoy veg restaurants as well as ethnic cuisine, especially Persian, Afghan, Indian, and Lebanese when dining out.

I celebrate the fact that I'm not afraid to cry as a man and be vulnerable when appropriate. If you haven't seen Brene Brown's tedtalk, "The Power of Vulnerability", I recommend watching it.

Surfing isn't just about a place to sleep. It's about exchange. I believe this, and that is not limited to the physical sense of exchange (i.e. a gift with 'thank you' card), but in the exchange of knowledge, stories, and good times.

Teach: I can teach you how to laugh at yourself! I can teach what I know about healthy eating, proper food combinations, and the negative effect of EMFs and how you can protect yourself from that; I can also be a good sounding board for ideas and offer sound advice (I have experience as an adviser and counselor).

Learn: I would like to learn tips on becoming a successful youtuber, songwriting advice, birdwatching, how to edit videos on a pc, how to compose songs, advanced features on professional cameras, & how to use photoshop, for example. I’m a philomath — I love learning.
