My name is Nora. I'm a 28 year old person who's been doing social work for a while, after graduating with a degree in philosophy. Singing is a great joy and I play ukulele and have a small act with my sister, I've also hosted an open mic in my recent hometown Turners Falls for the past few years. I like to swim in rivers and write poetry and joke and make mischief and draw, and cook too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm taking a roadtrip across the country to open up my soul after some harrowing experiences in social work, as well as to reunite with one of my greatest lady loves so that I can be in her wedding!! My trek is Massachusetts to Olympia Washington, and I'm hoping to make some friends and see some sights along the way (I gave myself some extra lounging time!). The skills I can bring include cooking and cleaning and ukulele singing, listening and walking, cocktail shaking and joking around, and if you'd like I'll certainly draw your picture or write you a poem! I've traveled a lot in the Southern states and would love to see what the great North and Midwest have to offer!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I successfully got a homeless girl section 8 housing recently and she subsequently got a job!

One time I was sea kayaking in Alaska and a seal swam underneath my kayak, back and forth, the entire time (that felt amazing).
