I am a Portland native former massage student. I like theater and playing and singing and dancing! I am a former cheerleader of the unconventional sort. I love coffee and Ender's Game. I like musicals and hiphop, and Iron and Wine and world music.
Mostly I love and live for people :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am just starting to use CS, but I have a feeling I will be much more active on this sight once I know what it's like to be traveling on my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was only ever able to experience CS via good close friends of mine and met some amazing people and loved meeting them so much. It was a helpful start even to the trip I am embarking upon now

Interests

In my free time I like to watch Netflix read books. But that's not all. I love wasting my money on vanilla lattes and reading my horoscope in the paper.
Nothing makes me feel more alive than dancing. I recently fell in love with this afro-brazilian/samba dance class.
If I could, I would still be a crazy enthusiastic cheerleader.
I am very interested in the religions of the world in a non-judgmental, wanting to understand people kind of way.
I grew up on a farm based on the work of G.I. Gurdjieff who I love dearly.

Teach, Learn, Share

I spent 3 years working for a non-profit called Language Hunters (but it's more like language tracking beacause I don't try killing the language, in fact I do the opposite) which taught me a way of learning languages by total immersion, sign language, total physical response and flying by the seat of your pants/improv. I am very excited to learn, or, try to learn some new languages and test out my skills and hopefully pass some on :)
