About Me

Born and raised in China. Living in Hong Kong. A rebellious soul. Young and naive.

Normally I don't take selfies or travel photos at all, unless my parents urge me to. And that's why there are not many photos in my profile. Although a booby selfie might increase the chance of being hosted. :3

CURRENT MISSION

I am pessimistic about the future of humankind, yet I aspire to live my small and insignificant life to the fullest, by constantly browsing cute animals and funny memes on my computer.

Materialism is a trap that I want to escape. I try to own as few things as possible and avoid unnecessary purchases, cookware being an exception. A woman can never have enough woks.

I like to consider myself a Renaissance woman, insofar as I'm a little bit overweight, and I like lying around in the nude when I'm at home.

I aim to be an Incognito traveler by eliminating the cache I produced during the stay. One of my Airbnb host felt obliged to pay me back because I secretly cleaned the room and washed all the dishes for her.

PHILOSOPHY

"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

How dumb would it be if I put an honest "I am poor" statement here. I need to convince you that I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to know different cultures and love to meet new people, while in real life I am the type of person who goes to a party and makes friends with the dog.

One day I got high on soy milk and felt like stepping out of my comfort zone, so I went Couchsurfing. It was an unexpectedly wonderful experience and I hence decided to continue surfing. There ARE some interesting people out there, and I am not as introverted as I thought.

I wish I could host, but there's barely enough space for a hamster in my shoebox dorm room. It's Hong Kong. So.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

"There is only one form of heroism in the world, and it consists in seeing the world as it is—and in loving it."

Magic truffles in Amsterdam. Van Gogh, Van Gogh everywhere.

Teach, Learn, Share

It would be great if you want to learn about China and Chinese culture. I'm a part-time Chinese teacher.

I write jokes and awkward short stories, but only in Chinese. I can translate them to you if you like.

I can sing, and I can cook. And I often do both at the same time.

I can offer a free make-up makeover.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my parents who are very open-minded about homosexuality if you need to come out.
