About Me
Hello! My name is Noreen Chau, and I am currently on exchange in Sweden. I come from sunny Southern California, where I study Public Health Sciences and Anthropology. I love rollercoasters, dogs, and delicious food. It's my mission to try weird and interesting dishes from all around the world. I've been to many Eastern Asian countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, and Korea, so I would love to converse about my experiences from those places with you! My next goal after Europe is to travel to Japan, so if you've been, it would be awesome if you have any recommendations on what to eat and where to go. If you have any more questions about me, please don't hesitate to send me a message! Thank you very much :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This is my first time in Europe, and I want to get the best possible experience I can while I'm here. Meeting locals is the best way to learn more about different cultures and take back home values I've learned. Europe is such a cultural hub, and it is so awesome that even though every country is so close, they each have their own special history and story. I hope to find lifelong friends and make memories, whether it be having coffee, going clubbing, or sharing thought provoking ideas.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Lo-fi hip hop, deep house chill, Jazz, Indie rock, and Classical (especially when I'm stuck in Los Angeles traffic).
Movies I love: Inception, Avengers, and the occasional shitty romantic comedy (think The Proposal [2009] starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds lol).
Books!: Count of Monte Cristo, Heart of Darkness, A Song of Achilles, Call Me By Your Name
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn words in your language or unique customs your culture might have. I think it's so interesting how people celebrate their own culture. Also, if you have any advice for me about what to do about President Trump, please share it with me!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you some Vietnamese words or how to cook Vietnamese food! All the recipes I have in my arsenal are authentic and have been in my family for generations. Cooking is one of my passions!
