Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I gratefully learned about Couchsurfing in 2016 from a friend, tried it in Germany to make friends while I was there visiting and it was awesome! Among AirBnBs, hotels, and hostels, Couchsurfing always brings the connection to a place and its people I can’t find anywhere else. Each CS experience I’ve had is one to talk about.

Music, Movies, and Books

Grew up in Southern California so big bands like Sublime, Weezer, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are staples. Also big fan of country and folk rock from the 1960s to today and classical music. Movies—any movie with a good plot line, plausible actors, and solid cinematography or a good comedy. Books—reread Harry Potter recently, often read religious-based anthropology books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ran the Marine Corps Marathon without training. The cheers from the crowd, adrenaline, and awesome people I nodded to helped keep me going. I highly suggest if you want to run a marathon and don't like running, just run it and accept you won't be able to walk for the two weeks after! Because why run X amount of marathons before running a marathon if you don't have to?

But then again, why run a marathon in the first place... regardless, I recommend it and I plan to run more in the future! tbd if I train for them

Teach, Learn, Share

Fun fact: I know how to tie knots very well, in case you need to learn how to tie a clove hitch or bowline anytime soon, I.e. for climbing, fishing, or sailing. Looking to practice my German with anyone who can speak! I am willing to share recipes I’ve concocted.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook! I am finishing up my last year of college, and I have not had a chance to cook very much. Ergo, I have a constant hankering to whip up new and old recipes!

I know how to dance--salsa, tango, two-step, swing. If you do not already know how or want a dance partner or just have an improptu dance party, I am your gal.
