Just finished teaching Introduction to Psychology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Approaching graduation, getting my Masters of Science in Psychology. Although I love everything about psychology, it takes a toll on my brain power, so I DO find time to have fun :D! I absolutely LOVE to dance, even if I don't know, I'm willing to learn! Actually, I love learning too! That's the best part of meeting new people, I get to learn from them and hopefully they get to learn a new perspective from me. Going to live events is something I'm trying to do more of, especially theatre plays! Enjoying some drinks and food, browsing local shops, and appreciating sceneries are some of the things I find joy in. Although I don't travel as much as I would like, mostly because of funding and grad responsibilities, knowing this site is here will likely change that :D!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new on Couchsurfing, and the whole idea of it amazes me. It gives people without as much funding the opportunity to explore what this world has to offer! A great way to meet nice people, learn from them, exchange ideas, and appreciate life more.

My birthday is coming up this Monday! I'm headed out to NOLA for some adventure for the weekend to celebrate. I have something lined up Saturday night, some kayaking, I'm very excited about that. Would love to see the city some more, I hear there's a white linen event going on as well, that sounds interesting :) I wouldn't mind cooking or going grocery shopping with whoever is cool with me sleeping in a safe place.

Enjoy all sorts of music, not the hugest fan of intense heavy death metal. Anything with mystery, horror, and detective style drama in books and movies I'm a sucker for.

Teach, Learn, Share

From 16-22, I worked as a line cook for country clubs to help pay for my degree, so I think I picked up a thing or two. Besides cooking, I've studied psychology since high school. I'm not perfect, but I'm a great listener and give good advice if you're ever in a mind boggling ditch. I'm 25 now, I believe working/studying in the mental health field has given me the appropriate tools to help others in many ways, I'm still learning though! My first language is Spanish, so if you are interested in learning or practicing, I'm all for it!
