I was born and raised in Barcelona, a city that I really love. The multicultural environment you can find there, the urban and traditional art, the architecture, cuisine... so many things a like from the city! But even if the city is great, living in the same place all my life is not something I want, I also want to discover and experience how is living in other countries and continents. So, that's how I ended in Canada, doing my master's thesis in telecommunications engineering at Concordia as an exchange student. I saw the opportunity my faculty gave me and I didn't even think it, I just applied.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I remember at the beginning it was something new, a great and easy way to connect with people from different countries. I have to say that in Europe I haven't used Couchsurfing as much as, because at my University we had similar alternatives created by students over the decades with big established networks. Being outside Europe, I've joined plenty of CS events in the city, being able to meet great people from all over the world.

Interests

I like to travel, discover new things, places, food and cultures. I also like nature and to hike in the mountain. When I'm travelling, I'm usually with my camera taking pictures. So, I end up with a lot of pictures, but because I'm the camera guy, I don't appear much in them.
I'm also a little bit geek, like all kind of new technologies. Probably that's how I ended studying telecommunications engineering :P

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have any specific kind of music I like. I like to listen a wide range of music types, normally hooked to the radio, so I don't have to look for any specific music. But then, I have this problem when I listen to music, I don't know the titles and singers.
I like to read mystery and scientific novels. Now reading a novel about string theories! I like documentaries, you can learn a lot from them and probably I can watch any movie if it's not horror one.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm no the best with cooking complex food, don't expect the delicious food my grandmother could cook. She is great cooking, but she has a lifetime experience. In my case, I can always try my best into Spanish/Catalan cuisine. What I know how to prepare are drinks! If you are into Sangria, I can be your guy :)
