ABOUT ME

I'm a young-at-heart person with a love for travel and all things new and exciting. I enjoy spending time with my significant other, my family and my two cats. I continue to explore and learn new things - this year in January I started taking piano lessons and am loving it.

Have as much fun as I can before I check out, help others when I can, enjoy my family.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed several times and every experience has been wonderful. It's such a wonderful concept - you get to share what's best about your city with a traveler and make new friends. Surfing provides a whole new dimension to travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a couple times and found it very enjoyable. I've surfed several times in Scotland, once in London and once in Paris. I'm amazed at the generosity of the community and am excited to be a part of it.

Music - I like alternative, indie, rock, classical, really nearly everything. Well, not so much country and western, unless it's classic C&W like Johnny Cash.

Books and movies: Sci-fi, nonfiction, nerdy science books and shows. Love any Tom Hanks film, The Green Mile, Interstellar, Philomena, The Great Budapest Hotel, What Dreams May Come, Silence of the Lambs, Donnie Darko, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Polar Express, It's a Wonderful Life, Rocky Horror Picture Show (ha), Nightmare Before Christmas, The Gods Must Be Crazy....

Hitchhiked to Mackinac Island, Michigan, with my college roomie way back when. We snuck into the French fort and slept in there in spite of the bats.

Though one of my degrees is in French, it was a long time ago and I'm a bit rusty, which is why in the language section above I only claim I'm learning French. So, depending on how YOUR French is, we could learn from each other. I can introduce you to Dayton, Ohio (birthplace of aviation!!), and show you the city and surrounding areas.
