CURRENT MISSION

I'm a long-time San Francisco bartender and artist. Have worked in a variety of community-oriented education programs, including children's creative writing projects, National Public Radio and the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition!

It's been a little while since I've take some real time off, so traveling along the Mediterranean for the month of May, hoping to make wonderful new connections along the way! :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

when I'm traveling, I'm definitely trying to stay with locals and see things from the inside, though I do also love the occasional hostel or guest house depending on my mood... can't wait to host more often once I have my own apartment

have been surfing for years, through this website, but also informally, with people I've met on the road over many years of travel :)

Interests

I'm a dedicated communicator and community builder. I love spending my time with young people, especially in the process of building a feeling of community and cooperation and then growing those relationships through meaningful arts and culture programs. I read a lot of fiction and love being outside. I also really appreciate art, design and music, and am a bit of an architecture and steel frame bicycle nerd...

also, love football... went to the World Cup in South Africa and saw ten matches, including Brazil/Netherlands in the quarters and Spain/Germany in the semis!
