About Me

I’m originally from Jordan and have been living in Japan for many years! I work in translation and love anything related to languages. I speak Arabic, English, and Japanese, and I’m always curious about how different cultures express the same ideas in completely different ways.

I’m the kind of traveler who prefers meaningful experiences over rushing through tourist checklists. I love long conversations, good food (especially cheese and desserts 🤤), quiet nature spots, and learning how locals actually live.
I’m into wellness, yoga, and slowing down, but I also enjoy exploring cities, live music, and spontaneous adventures. I’m respectful, clean, and very mindful of other people’s space. I really value cultural exchange and genuine connection.
I travel to understand people and culture, not just places!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I value real cultural exchange. When I travel, I’m not just interested in sightseeing, I want to understand how people actually live, think, and see the world.
As someone who loves languages and has lived between cultures, I find that the most meaningful travel experiences come from conversations at the dinner table, walking through neighborhoods with locals, or sharing stories about everyday life!

For me, Couchsurfing is about trust, mutual respect, and genuine connection, not just a place to stay. I’m happy to contribute, help around the house, cook something from my culture, or exchange languages.
I currently live in Japan and I’m open to hosting in the future, especially people I’ve connected with during my travels!

- Nature walks, mountains, beaches, and quiet spots away from heavy tourism
- Live music and discovering local artists

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is a bit all over the place in the best way!I enjoy rock and metal, Middle Eastern music, classics, 90s and early 2000s pop, and honestly anything with strong emotion or good lyrics.

I enjoy comedies and films that don’t take themselves too seriously, but lately I’ve also been re-watching older movies for nostalgia. Recently I’ve been getting into Spanish series! t’s a fun way to practice the language and understand culture.

One book I really loved is This Is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay. It’s a mix of comedy and tragedy, based on real hospital stories. I learned so much from it and appreciated how it balanced humor with difficult realities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moving to Japan and getting the Japanese passport!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Languages and what it’s like to live between cultures.
Learn: How people see the world in their own cities.
Share: Food, music, and meanigful coversations.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook Middle Eastern and Japanese food, teach you some Arabic or Japanese phrases, or just share stories about living between cultures. I’m always happy to help around the house or get groceries and I respect house rules.

I currently live in Japan, and depending on my schedule and space, I’d love to host in the future, especially people I’ve connected with while traveling. I really value reciprocity and cultural exchange!
