Scottish but I have spent the last 8 years travelling around with my work. From Edinburgh where I grew up I moved south to Brighton in England where I worked in a gas power plant for 4-5 years before moving out to Mexico for 2 years to construct a new gas power plant. Returned to London in the UK for a year working from the central business offices before being redeployed to Madrid in September 2017.

I enjoy leading an active and healthy lifestyle (I do still enjoy a good night out and junk food once in a while) and I am currently addicted to crossfit and hiking in the sierra de Guadarrama (mountain range just outside madrid) .

Interested in meeting people for different cultures & backgrounds. Newish in Madrid also so I'm spending most of my weekends exploring and tasting the delightful Spanish tapas and wine.

Still learning Spanish, currently at level B1 and I can comfortably hold a conversation.

A number of my close friends use couch surfing, both offering their properties and using other people's properties whilst on their travels and all I hear from them is positive feedback.

I'm fortunate enough to be based in a wonderful city with an apartment right in the city centre so figure it's not a bad idea or gesture to share this with like minded people who love to travel, explore, exchange views and have some interesting conversations whilst drinking wine and eating tapas.

I enjoy indie music with oasis being one of my favourite groups, touching the void is a fantastic movie but at the same time pretty gut wrenching, I also love sleepers and the occasional Netflix box set.
