My name is Mattes, I´m 37 Jahre old and I live in Freiburg, Southern Germany.

At the end of March this year I packed up all my stuff and since then I have been on a cycling trip trying to get right from my home to New Zealand. If all goes according to plan, somehow in April, May 2016 I will reach Akaroa, a small city on the Southern Island of New Zealand. That is the destination I long have been dreaming about.

On my journey I´m going to sleep in my tent, under the sky, in hostels and maybe once in a while I´ll find a nice place via couchsurfing.com. Definitely, I would be really happy about that...:-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get to know people from the countries I travel through, spend some time with them, talk and see how life can be somewhere else.
