About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making sure I never go sane... "Some people never go crazy, what truely horrible lives they must live" (Bukowski)
ABOUT ME
Ask and ill tell... i will never understand why they ask this question, because if you can explain "all about you" in this itty bitty box you are probably a week old (and wouldnt be on couchsurfing!)
a couple tid bits: I'm full of useless information, follow tennis obsessively (and would probably do anything to follow the tour for a year), love m&m's and the usual- good friends, good music, good books and good company. I would also probably love to hear all about you! :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I just joined, so dont have much to say, but i have high hopes for Couchsurfing!
Interests
movies, music ( everything except country, heavy metal and hard core rap), reading (getting lost in libraries and old book stores), writing (but generally just for myself), volunteer work whenever possible, good coffee, watching sports, taking the bus to unknown destinations in unknown countries ( have done that about 5 times now and have a cool experience from every one of them!), picking up culturally applicable tips for places most people haven't heard of (like Tuvalu or Timbouktou- yes, it actually exists!!!) and sooo many more...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trekking in Sikkim, the foothills of the Himalayas
It was something everyone said i couldnt do, because i have asthma. A 14 day trip, with everything on our backs: 30+ km of walking every day, taking ill-planned short cuts that led to the cliff face, slipping and sliding down landslide areas, bathing in the river (twice in the whole two weeks :P), eating measured portions of rice and wai wai while dreaming of 'real' food, and making salt rings around our sleeping bags to keep the leaches away (which was only partially successful). Even though i lost half my body weight, the trip was true nourishment for the soul. Oh, and sipping the sweet hot tea in the clearing near a small village where we ended our travels while watching the sunrise over the Himalyas (In the words of Lufthansa)... all for this one moment.
