Hi! I'm Nuala (pronounced Noola), 30, from Wales. I've been traveling independently on and off since I graduated from uni in 2011; as much as I absolutely love Wales, I want to make the most of being free and not having any responsibilities while I can. I've spent the majority of the last few years in Australia and South East Asia, working and adventuring but my brother is getting married in Portland, Oregon in June and I decided to go via Hawaii, as it's somewhere I've longed to go to since I was little :-) I've been living in Darwin, Australia for the last 7 months so I'm so excited to be able to swim in the sea without worrying about sharks, jellyfish and crocodiles!

I love the beach and I try to live as active a life as possible; when I settle places for a decent amount of time, I always join a sports team (usually hockey) but while I'm living more transiently I tend to make do with swimming and hiking but I'd love to try any new activities / sports (I'm definitely an adrenaline junky!) I'd love to be able to stay with people who can show me the quieter, more elusive spots and maybe join me in exploring but I'm happy to venture out independently if I'm pointed in the right direction! I'm keen to hire a motorbike while I'm there, it's my absolute favourite way of exploring a new place and some of the best times I've had while traveling have been singing my head off on the back of a bike :-D

Don't mind staying in hostels but definitely think you get more out of your visit when you're with a local :-)
Currently traveling for an as yet unknown period of time but would definitely be keen to host once I've planted some roots somewhere. Any homes with pets are an added bonus :-D

Intereses

Hugely into sport, especially rugby union, being from Wales it's almost a religion! Love doing anything active or that involves being outside; most content at the beach and the countryside. Just bought my first motorbike, so that's my obsession at the moment! Also love cooking, chocolate brownies are my speciality :-D

Música, películas y libros

Absolutely love live music in almost any form, festivals and gigs are where I'm happiest! Simon & Garfunkel, Arctic Monkeys, Alt J, High Contrast, random old Irish trad music, very much depends on my mood! Not that into movies but tend to watch a fair amount on long haul flights! I love thrillers, anything by Wes Anderson and obviously singing along to Disney (maybe not so much on flights..!) I read anything from autobiographies to thrillers to Harry Potter, currently re-reading Millennium Trilogy (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo)

The greatest brownies known to mankind! Can also teach you to ride a motorbike if you want :-D I also just got a slackline (kinda like a tightrope..) that I can't really teach you because I'm rubbish but we could learn together :-D
