Originally Russian, I grew up in St-Petersburg. I moved to Montreal, Canada as soon as I graduated from high school. I was always more of an artsy person, but when I moved to Montreal I decided that I want to study Physics. At this point I am a graduate student at Montreal's university, but I live in Hull, Gatineau. This means I have to travel between the two cities a lot to do my work, and I am constantly all over the place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I attend meetings whenever I can (especially when I travel). Hosted and occupied several couches myself for a while. I'd like to be more active, though.
I love traveling, hiking, meeting new people, enjoy beer with friends and even strangers, I'd love some good tea. Would be more than happy to visit a museum, art show, concert, theater. Outdoorsy activities are also right up my alley.
I'm looking for any opportunity to practice my French, or so I say.
Music, Movies, and Books
Recently I am not listening much music, probably because I move every 4 month or so and all my music is in some boxes in Montreal, or Ottawa, or I havenoideawhere. I like Nick Cave, PJ Harvey, Radiohead , Massive Attack, Squarepusher. Generally, Industrial, Nu Jazz, good old Brit rock, and so on.
As for reading, in my spear time I like reading Russian literature, and occasional cyberpunk stuff, history works well with a coffee too.
Movies? Hm. Lots of weird once, for sure. For example, I saw The Dead Man six times for no apparent reason.
