Hello couchsurfers, I'm Joel and after 3 years living and teaching English in Prague, I'm about to move to Chemnitz, Germany to do a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship. I'm an easy-going guy who likes to learn languages (at the moment, I'm trying to get my German to a high level), read books, have deep, philosophical conversations, and also drink beer and have a good time. I've been singing in choirs of various music styles since I was 12. If you want to know anything else about me, just ask!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a weekend in Gimmelwald, Switzerland--a very small town in the Swiss Alps, accessible only by a gondola lift, near Interlaken. I spent the weekend hiking and enjoying the sunshine and beauty of nature during the day, partying at night. I've seen a lot of beauty in nature, but I've never been so stunned by the beauty of any one place like I was in Gimmelwald.
