Overview
About Me
I am a very easy going guy that really likes to travel and meet new people. I love to think about stuff and discuss philosophy. Almost anything related to science will spark my interest, but I'll take any conversation that comes up and to which I feel I can contribute something. Otherwise, I'll probably shut up and listen.
I'll watch almost any kind of movies, but horror movies rarely interest me and I also don't enjoy that much older movies (maybe some classics, but it's rare).
I don't care much about what I listen to, as long as the rythm is pleasant enough. I'm terrible at remembering song names, authors and lyrics. I can listen to the same song 100 times and still know almost nothing about the lyrics...
I enjoy partying with friends and new people, but if given the choice between partying in a club or hanging out in a bar or at someone's place, I'll definitely pick the bar/someone's place.
I really like eating and trying out new foods, specially if they are really weird.
I also enjoy playing football, swimming, cycling, windsurfing, and some more, but not at a competitive level. As long as it is chilled out it's ok for me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I can't host anyone, as I don't have a place of my own, but I'll gladly meet someone up if I can. I'm hoping to be able to host people by 2016. Meanwhile I just hope I'm able to surf some couchs.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only couchsurfed in Southeast Asia and always had good experiences. Other than that I sort of CS but through different organizations where either a friend of mine or I are involved.
Interests
Travelling - I love travelling. Most of my dreams are related to some crazy trip I would love to do, like being dropped in the middle of the Amazonian rainforest and making my own way out, walking the silk road or exploring Mongolia by horse.
Learning languages - I have a passion for languages! If there is something new you can teach me, and you are willing to do so, I'll soak it up. Besides being something I enjoy, I think that if you know the language of the places you are travelling through you might get a much more immersive experience, so I always try to learn a bit.
Trying new food - I'm all for trying new foods. Probably not sweets, though... I can try it but you will, most likely, never see me wanting to eat something sweet (maybe chocolate). Anything else I'll give it a shot! I think that trying the local food (or drinks) is actually one of the best parts of travelling.
Science - I really like to learn new stuff. I wonder a lot about how things work, what makes them tick and why.
Philosophy - I love to discuss it. Anything from Ethics, Morals, Human nature, the existence of God, Logic, etc, etc. Just give it a shot and I'll try my best.
Reading - I really like reading, mostly about historic novels, travel biographies or stuff like LOTR.

Music - Glass Animals, Mumford and Sons, Beirut, Iron Maiden, Tallest Man on Earth, Muse, Vampire Weekend, Nightwish, Bag Raiders, and almost anything else!
Movies - LOTR, Snatch, Reservoir Dogs, "The One You Don't Talk About", and many more (Can't help mentioning the Samsara and Baraka documentaries by Ron Fricke and the Qatsi ones by Godfrey Reggio).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I fished with locals in the middle of the mountains of Nepal.
I ate a red ants chutney in India.
I slept in the Sahara desert during a thunderstorm. And was in the middle of a small sand storm (still incredible, small as it was).
Teach, Learn, Share
Anything I know I'll be happy to share. I can teach stuff like maths and physics and stuff of the kind. Also languages, the ones I know, at least.
I can also share my travel stories and would love to hear yours.
