About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet as many people as I can and hear about what life is like for them. And LIVE and breathe, being happy to know i am alive!!

ABOUT ME

After four years of college, I decided it was fine time to leave the US in search of new places, people, and experiences. This desire landed me in France, where I currently teach English to high school students in a little wine village a few kilometers outside Dijon. I try to take any opportunity I can during weekends and holidays to get out of my little apartment where I live with a lovely Dijonnaise woman who has unofficially adopted me as her American daughter. I am a strong believer in living romantically, in all its senses.

PHILOSOPHY

Working on it. TBD

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I live in Europe, I am trying to gather as much knowledge as I can from others through couchsurf and my experiences staying with them. Once I find a permanent residence in the states, I will love to return the hospitality to others and open my home to travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first official couchsurfing experience was in Strasbourg during the Christmas Market season. When we weren't exploring Strasbourg, we would watch countless hours of Sex and the City and eat brownies.

Interests

Living life, love in all its shapes and forms, fully indulging in all the senses, coffee, wine, cheese, chocolate!, meals that take hours, picnics, running, dancing, books, music, antiquities, discovery, big questions

Music, Movies, and Books

This question is so unfair because it is so easy to leave something out by accident and I surely will.
Books: Lolita, Endless Love, Catcher in the Rye, The Gay Science, Exercises in Style
Music: Radiohead, Most things 80s, Talking Heads, Feist, Damien Rice, Portishead
Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Bicycle Thief, 400 Blows, The Taste of Cherry, On the Waterfront, Breathless, The Notebook

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know if I have a particular knowledge to impart to anyone, but I do know that I enjoy sharing experiences and talking talking talking. That is probably my strong suit, in fact.
