One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have founded my social project called Central Asian Nomad Youth (IG: @cany.kg)
It is a unique platform that was created in 2018 for rural-youth development. It is the first youth organization in the Leylek district, Batken oblast. Our primary goal is to encourage and motivate students from rural areas to be more active and involved in their local communities by teaching them to debate. We launch debate training and further help them to establish their debate clubs in their schools. We organize inter-regional youth camps, republican debate tournaments, webinars, Instagram live sessions, and motivational workshops in southern-rural areas of Kyrgyzstan.

By running the CANY initiative, we are addressing the following issues.

Lack of education/ Improving educational and business sectors in Southern Kyrgyzstan (SDG’4)
Conflict Resolution- eliminating ethnic clashes between Kyrgyz and Tajik people on border areas. (SDG’16)
Early marriage and gender inequality in peripheral regions of Kyrgyzstan (SDG’5)
