Overview
About Me
Hey there! I’m Nurlan from Azerbaijan - a youth worker, outdoor lover, and big fan of calisthenics (basically training with your own bodyweight). I enjoy being active, meeting new people, and organizing projects that bring young people together to learn and grow.
I love hiking, exploring new places, and doing sports - I play chess, volleyball semi-professionally, do calisthenics professionally and try to stay as active as possible. If we hang out, I can probably teach you how to do a handstand or some fun calisthenics tricks 😄.
I’ve organized and participated in several Erasmus+ projects across Europe, so I really enjoy cultural exchange and meaningful conversations. I’m easygoing, respectful, and always up for a walk, workout, or just a chill evening with good company.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, the best way to understand a place is by spending time with the people who live there. Talking, sharing stories, and learning from locals has made my travels meaningful. Couchsurfing let me to find new people all over the world and when I want to visit any country, I know that, I'm not alone.
Interests
I really enjoy staying active - hiking, chess, calisthenics, and volleyball are a big part of my life. I also love traveling, exploring nature, and joining youth projects that connect people from different backgrounds. When I’m not outdoors, I like cooking simple food, listening to music, or watching something inspiring.

Music, Movies, and Books
I kinda love all music that sounds good to my ears 😄. But generally, I’m into bands like Coldplay, Radiohead, and Vacations. Recently, I bought a gramophone and started collecting old rock and classic vinyls - it’s such a vibe!
I enjoy movies and anime that have a mix of emotion and motivation. Some of my favorites are Haikyuu!!, Grave of the Fireflies, and anything by Hayao Miyazaki. I also like films that leave you thinking after watching.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing Thing I've ever done is to decide to live fully.
