Hello, I am very new to the site of couchsuring, but i have been a literal one since 2007 whilst traveling around the world for 2 and a half years. I grew up in Romford, Essex within the border of East London, England. I always dreamed of traveling the world, and after I had a scholarship during my degree at Southampton Solent, in Venice Italy for 5 months, that was a taster which made me know that I would pursue that dream! After graduating, I worked as a freelance Photographer and then started my around the world trip in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and ended in Cape Town, South Africa. After that I moved to Cape Town and my big love has been Indonesian traditional arts. Through my travels I found other passions and talents so I am a qualified Fitness instructor and personal trainer, I registered my NPO Rahasia Mafiusa (using Indonesian arts and culture to bridge the gap between segregated communities in SA) and started performing my poetry since 2015.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had always liked to stay with locals when I travel and make friends as I go along. It is lovely to share stories and really connect with a place and its people and every day life... I am naturally a social anthropologist!
