I have 3 guinea pigs and a mild obsession with tarot cards. I'm pretty much an open book. I just moved to New Orleans from Carbondale and I don't move into my new place until May 18. My guinea pigs have a place to stay but I'd like to give my current host a break every once in a while, so that is why I may have requested to stay with you!

Though I've always lived in the US, I've lived in many different types of places... tropical, desert, forest, big city, small town, suburban, rural, wine country... I love them all in various ways.

PHILOSOPHY

My ultimate goal in life is to do what I can to make the world a better place. I feel most fulfilled when I've been able to help others or help out with a cause that is important to me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Summer of 2011, I was traveling and had many wonderful hosts. Had the pleasure of hosting a few lovely people in Austin, TX the summer of 2012. I moved to a small town in Illinois in 2013 and haven't had the chance to host here yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked through Central/Eastern Europe for 5 weeks alone...but it didn't feel like it because I met such cool people along the way. A wonderful experience and looking forward to more adventures like it in the future!

I'm willing to help out if someone wants to improve their English! I like to cook sometimes. No promises on how it turns out if I'm not cooking in a familiar space, i.e. my own kitchen. heheh
