ABOUT ME

I lived in Paris when I was 5. I have lived in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Montreal, Westchester and Chicago. I live for the city, but love the country, camping, hiking, views, etc. I studied video and fashion (and art...), I am a HUGE environmentalist. I love riding my bike, but I am not very good at fixing it. I really love meeting people and I can get along with close to anyone, which is good for my line of work. Dancing is my number one favorite activity. I'm a design-o-phile, I love being well dressed, funky dressed, theme dressed. I also rock climb all the time, there is nothing like it. Finally I'm a vegetarian.

PHILOSOPHY

I have an optimistic outlook, even if New York cynicism has rubbed off on me a bit. Art, dance, design, food, and having people to share these things with is the most fulfilling thing in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I constantly host people in my apartment, but I've never done it through couch surfing, just word of mouth, friends of friends, etc. I hope to start my activity with couch surfing by sleeping on other people's couches. This sounds like the awesome community building thing to do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well my most favorite one is it was a very very very cold Chicago winter night, and there were 9 people over my house. We got all bundled up to leave and waited in the chill-you-to-the-bones cold for 30 minutes for a bus. The bus never came. Fed up we all came back to my apt and everyone was too cold. No one went outside again. The best awkward sleeping situation for 9 people crammed in beds, couches and somehow the tallest, biggest guy of all of us slept on tiny love seat, kicking over three glasses of water on the table behind him.

Interests

The environment,bike riding, dancing so much a lot, great friends making them and keeping them, hiking, camping, CITIES, public transportation, travel, my dog and my cat, fashion and making it, video (I make that too), laughing, hip hop, swing dancing, architecture and design criticism, biggity blam there is a lot, but there is a sampler.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing masada right before the sun rose. As we reached the top the sun started to reveal the landscape before us. It was beautiful and unbelievable that we were there and we climbed this massive beast and were being treated to such a view. I had never been in a desert before, so I was completely blown away.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sewing! And Bike Riding! And good jokes! And beer!
I can teach you self defense, but I'm a little rusty. I can show you some basic rock climbing knots and belay techniques. And I can show you how to jay walk like a PRO.
