ABOUT ME

Hello!! My name is Sandra. I am originally from NYC but i am currently living in Barcelona. I have been in this fabulous city since March and now i am ready to see more of Europe!! I love to travel and meet people from all walks of life. Traveling is the one thing that excites me more than anything else in life - so many cultures to see and explore!! I consider myself to be very open minded and friendly. Lets see what else...i was in NYC working as a TV producer but have decided to take some time off to re-evaluate my path in life. I hope to learn much about the world and all of the wonderful people in it through this period of self discovery :)

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is that you have to get out of your comfort zone and do something totally different. It is so easy to become complacent and that can get tired and boring...for some.. Live life to the fullest - go far, but always remember where you came from.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Lets see, this is my first time on this site so i know when i return to NYC I will be sure to give back by offering up my couch as well. I've also been to a few of the CS events in Barcelona and have met many wonderful people. The last event i attended was the Sant Joan beach party, what a great night dancing on the beach under the stars!

Interests

My interests include travel, reading, hiking, meditating, thrift shopping, singing (karaoke!) meeting new people, trying new foods!, honestly there are so many things i enjoy - i'm open minded so i'll try most things at least once ...so long as i don't get into trouble!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm....I went on a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France. It was amazing because i was working as a volunteer and i was with people from all parts of the world where we all came together to help handicapped people. It was a touching experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can speak Spanish and have been an English teacher for the past few months. I also know how to shoot with a professional video camera. I am trying to teach myself how to edit. What else...i enjoy baking although its been a while since i've attempted to make anything... but i'm willing to give it a go again! chocolate chip cookies anyone? :)
