ABOUT ME
I was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, and I moved to Japan when I was 1 and a half. I lived in Japan for 6 years, and then I came back to New Zealand. My mother is Filipino, and my father is Kiwi (New Zealander).
When I was 17 I went to Japan for a year to do some volunteer work. It was a very interesting experience, hanging out with homeless people, singing at hospitals etc.
In April 2011, I returned to Japan to work in Chiba because there was no work in earthquake stricken Christchurch, my home town.
Since April 2012, I have worked and lived in Osaka City which I really enjoy. All I really do is work and play basketball, so wouldn't mind some couch surfers to occasionally spice things up!
I think that I am easy going, and relaxed. Really enjoy people coming and going from my home because that is how I grew up.
PHILOSOPHY
Be today who you want to be tomorrow.
If there is room in the heart, there is room in the house.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Be hosted and host! It would be cool to see more Japanese people allowing guests to stay in their houses, but it is not really a part of their culture.
Hopefully I can introduce surfers to some of my Japanese friends who are intersted in going overseas so they start to let surfers stay too.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have both surfed and hosted a little.
I am yet to have a bad experience with couch surfing. I love the idea of people trusting strangers to enter their houses and nothing going wrong.
