Hello!

I'm Orsi, a Hungarian girl living in the UK - although mentally already in New Zealand!
I'm going to spend a semester studying in Auckland from February 2019. New Zealand is the country I'm longing to visit ever since I remember, however, I don't know a single person living there. I'll be arriving at the end of January and would love to get to know Auckland through the eyes of a person who lives there. I'm a fairly social human being, I'm very curious about people and cultures. I love all sorts of sports and hiking, as well as cooking and baking, so I ideally spend my day either outside exploring or in the kitchen.
If anyone is up for travelling around NZ in February, let me know and we could make a plan!

I guess the music I like could be best described as alternative rock, starting from the '50-s. Talking Heads, The Fall, Bowie, Nick Cave, Modern Lovers, Smiths, Belle and Sebastian, John Martyn, Leonard Cohen, Slowdive, Mercury Rev, Jefferson Airplane...
My favourite directors are Michel Gondry, Jim Jarmusch and Noah Baumbach.
I enjoy reading about other cultures as well as fiction - my favourites would be Kundera's classic, The Unbearable Lightness of Being and The Fifth Sally by Daniel Keyes, and a couple of Hungarian novels by Szerb Antal and Kertész Imre.

I'm fairly good with cooking and baking and I could teach you how to be creative in the kitchen (or just do it and watch you eat).
Anything you do would probably interest me and if you're doing a sport or have a hobby I haven't tried before, I'd definitely be up for it!
I also love sharing life stories and just getting to know people in general.
