My name is OB and I have decided it's time to travel and see friends again as I am working on writing a book and helping some friends with various projects around the world. So I am saying goodbye to the Himalayas and setting out to backpack different places to help support but also to explore and meet new people and visit old friends and places as well. I have visited and lived in many countries around the world and it is time to get back out there. I hope to meet some great and fun people along the way.

I just started this account. I had heard about couch surfing and am interested in giving it a try now that I am back out traveling / backpacking again and trying to live minimally on the road so I can focus on writing and helping others with some various projects along the way. I want to meet great people and I always like prefer to be with and get to know locals; as I have traveled and lived many places in the world.

I have had amazing opportunities for many things in life which I am very grateful for... but one of the ones that sticks with me in my mind is that I followed the "Great Migration" (all the animals) from North (top of Africa) all the way South (tip of Africa) in South Africa over 9 months by backpack/overland.
