My name is Susanna and I live in a small town near Frankfurt. I'm of mixed origins (father is German, mother from Barcelona). I grew up in Germany but culturally I have a strong connection to my catalan origins. I try to go there as often as I can but I also love to travel and see as much of the rest of the world as possible.
I live with my husband who is from Mexico and our 7 year old son. Our family is quite a cultural mixture and that's fun!
I have always been interested in everything that differs from what I know and my reality. The stranger the better... That's why I decided to study anthropology and to learn about indigenous languages and way of life...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I'm eager to learn more about the world through people. By hosting people from different cultural backgrounds and also by travelling and staying at people's places to get to know their way of life. I think that Couchsurfing is the perfect means to bring people together and open one's minds to new perspectives. I also think that it requieres a profound trust in people when practicing Couchsurfing and I would really like to give it a try!

Interests

I feel a very strong connection to water in general but especially to the sea. I love coast landscapes and islands. When I am near the sea weather doesn't matter - it can be cold or raining - it still is a strong experience... It feels powerful!
However I also like to make city trips and visit museums. I love art, history, nature, music, literature, plants and . I also love to learn more about languages. I like watching movies, too!
Let's see, I also like to meet interesting people and have conversations. I love it when people have stories to tell or when they are just willing and open to tell you about their lives and what they've experienced - positive and negative things! But I also appreciate people who are willing to listen and are interested in what you have to say...
