I think we live in a country that encourages suspicion and isolation, so I fight the man by being generous and friendly. I love good conversation and weird-colored hair. I need somebody to teach me how to ride a horse.

I have found Couchsurfing to be the best way to experience a new place. How much a sense of a place can you derive while staying in some sterile, prepackaged chain hotel? I love the quirky, fun people I've stayed with around the country.
