ABOUT ME

Offbeat. Reasonably irrational. Easy to get on with, unless you're an a**hole, then we may have problems. I rarely get annoyed, except with myself. Listening to Johnny Lee Hooker as I type. Don't like typing, but sometimes it has to be done, and when I have to do something, I do it. The rest of the time I like to do what I like to do, and I like liking what I'm doing.

Have been twisted into many different shapes over the years, never quite return to the way I was, but always something close. I guess you could call it development. I LOVE being dumped in new situations and seeing how I react, pride myself on being able make friends just about anywhere. I spent about six years near-continuously non-sober. Now I only drink occasionally.

I'm lovable, hate-able, some would say unforgettable (people have tried, I've been sent the psychiatrist invoices to prove it...). We may not see eye to eye, but I don't really have a problem with short people, or those with differing opinions. I do have a problem with people who have no opinions.

I change with my environment. My environment changes with me. You are going to see a different me from everyone else, and the stage always looks different with new characters.

Don't read enough, but when I do I enjoy sci-fi-ish stuff that explores where we all might end up. Also enjoy some heavier literature from time to time, Mann, Dostoevsky, Melville, Dr. Seuss.

Love plotless, brainless Hollywood blockbusters (yeah...). Or maybe some Kubrick, Godard, Miyazaki. One's I love include Batman, Life of Brian, Apocalypse Now, Cool Hand Luke, Ikiru, Fear and Loathing...

Enjoy good music, genre's not so important. Probably like funky stuff best (old-skool Chili Peps, Ray Charles), but I listen to a LOT of music. And I love a good dane. Oops, I meant Swede. Oops, I meant dance. (Typos, gotta love 'em...)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Been through the two longest under-sea tunnels in the world. Got wasted at dawn on the streets of Venice, with the Italian versions of Cheech and Chong. Went to a beach party where I danced to some great house music, in the sea, alone, sober, naked. Oh heart, hast thou tasted liberty? (Melodrama anyone?) İ was a cave-man for three days at Fujırock (the biggest music festival in Japan). Oh, and I procreated and entered into marriage...
